Companion dogs are focused, reliable and dependable amid distraction.
They are developed through the dedicated guidance of responsible owners
in combination with quality training.
Train them, don't blame them!
Nature is our best teacher. Our gentle, motivational and proven
training programs are based on the natural language and interaction
found in pack structure. Our goal is to offer the highest quality
instruction in the development of a reliable and well behaved dog.
This natural approach to training creates a dog that freely chooses
to respond to their owner, ultimately becoming more relaxed, less
stressed and better able to handle a variety of situations.
Training should bring out the dogs best qualities and develop
behaviors which make them Companion Dogs for life.

I recently had the pleasure to observe and work with several dogs trained at Ultimate
Dog Training in South Tom's River, NJ. As a professional trainer with more than 25 years in
the business, it's always a pleasure to see well trained and happy, and enthusiastic
dogs. Jeanne has proven her abilities time and time again. I would not hesitate to
send Family and Friends to Ultimate Dog Training for real-life, proven results
training. |
Dear Jeanne:
“Give me an hour and I’ll give you a calmer dog.” I had to see this to believe it and did you
make a believer out of me! It was as though my 10 month old Golden Retriever, Basil, had
springs for front paws, she jumped up on everyone and everything in site. Each and every
walk was a struggle with this hyper 70+ pound dog dragging me around wherever she liked.
Well, I only left our first training session about an hour and a half ago, and since I’ve been
home I had the most enjoyable walk with Basil since we got her. No more pulling and straining
against the leash, no more jumping up on me every other step, and no more biting the leash.
She has attentively been following me around the house, bypassing tissues, papers and other
distractions that would usually whip her into a frenzy. As I write this she is laying calmly
in the room, chewing on a bone and not begging for our attention, chewing on carpet or jumping
on furniture.
After just one session I am truly amazed with the results. I cannot thank you enough and tell
you how excited we are about continuing our training with you. It is without hesitation that
I would recommend Ultimate Dog Training to anyone hoping to have a calmer, safer and more
attentive dog!
Sincerely, Elisabeth Card

I conduct a large number of dog training seminars each year and I have the opportunity
to see for myself which trainers really understand the method of Remote Collar
training that we're teaching. Jeanne ranks high on the list of those who've "got
it". Having been privileged to observe the performance of a number of Jeanne's
clients told me all I needed to know about Jeanne's dedication to excellence and
why Ultimate Dog is so aptly named. Jeanne, I'm proud of you.

As a veterinarian, I see a lot of different behavioral problems and the
varied approaches to solve them. Fortunately, the most common behavioral
problems of jumping, barking and inattention to basic commands such as
"sit", "stay", "come", "heal" and "lay down" are very treatable. Over the
years, I've employed many different methods of training for my own pets,
recommended these to my clients, and seen many others utilized.
I have never been more impressed or satisfied than when I chose to
utilize the "remote training collar system" recommended and taught by Jeanne
for my own dog, Danny. When I came to Jeanne, Danny was an extremely
hyperactive, energetic, 6 month old, Standard Poodle. Like many puppies, he
had trouble being attentive and responsive to basic training. In addition,
I found that my busy schedule often didn't allow enough time for what I had
previously considered "conventional" training methods.
The remote training collar allowed me to train Danny from a distance
through the transmission of adjustable, gentle, electrical muscle
stimulation. Danny rapidly learned that when he made appropriate response
to my verbal commands that the muscle stimulation
stopped. It amazed me just how quickly the process was. In a matter of 2-3
weeks, for a few minutes a day, he was responding nearly perfectly to my
commands.
Today, at 3 years of age, Danny is still just as energetic and
hyperactive, but he is well behaved and a pleasure to have around. Simply
putting the collar on him is enough to get his attention when there is a lot
of distraction, such as company or other pets.
What is most important to realize is that the electrical stimulation
transmitted by the collar is far more humane and far less painful and
dangerous than any other choke collar, prong collar or muzzle-type
training. I know because I tried it on myself first. It felt no different
than a muscle stimulating device used for physical therapy.
I now recommend a consultation with Jeanne to discuss the remote
training system to anyone having difficulty with basic training issues or
specific behavior issues.

When I started my dog out in puppy class at Ultimate Dog, he was only 3
months old. He is now 85 lbs. and doing things I never dreamed he
could or would do. Because of the encouragement given to me and the
knowledge of my dog and his temperament, Jeanne has helped us achieve
things beyond my imagination.
He walks through craft shows with no problem, sits in the kiddy pool
with my neighbors kids as they squirt him with the hose, goes swimming
at the beach and when we go to the vet, he behaves very well.
He's not perfect but he is a very good dog.
The bottom line is - I don't think I'd have this dog under any kind of
control if it were not for Jeanne and Ultimate Dog. The Your Safe Dog
program is named correctly. When you get your dog under control you
have more fun and can take him to more places and know your dog is safe.

I’ve had a great experience with Ultimate Dog Training. Jeanne is someone who
truly knows dogs and their behaviors. The information, gained through Jeanne,
has provided me with insight into the world of dogs. Her methods of training
go far beyond the basic commands.
When we brought our Bullmastiff puppy home 18 months ago, I knew we had to be
committed to training him. Knowing how big he was going to get, I didn’t want
him to become an uncontrollable dog. Casey is now 130 lbs and is an awesome
well-mannered dog. It’s a real pleasure having the ability to take Casey to
public places without having to worry about him dragging me, chasing after
something or even jumping up on people.
I attribute this and so much more to Jeanne. Her knowledge and methods work
wonders. All you have to do is be willing to listen, learn and follow her
guidance. - Kerry Lucas

Jeanne's insight of how a dog behaves has really helped me understand the importance of a well trained dog. Training with
Jeanne has made me more aware of how my dog will react in certain situations. Kassie and I go everywhere together! Going
to classes on a weekly basis and letting her play and work with the other dogs has created such a bond between us. I
wouldn't have missed it for the world! Thanks Jeanne.

Our Border Terrier, Tyler, graduated from puppy kindergarten with Jeanne at Ultimate Dog Training. Since then the focus and concentration he
has gained from working with her in further classes has helped him tremendously in all other aspects of his training. Jeanne has helped him
channel his"terrier energy" so that he can apply it successfully in the show ring and elsewhere. Tyler is now two years old and has already
earned his AKC championship, a Junior Earthdog title, two legs of a Senior title, three points toward a Canadian championship, a Canine Good
Citizen and a Therapy Dog certification, and is doing well in agility training. Thank you Jeanne. Mary, Jayne, and "Tiny Tyler."

Hi. My name is Harley and I'm a Boxer. When I was 4 months old my Mom sent
me to Jeanne at Ultimate Dog Training. I got to spend 8 whole days with
Jeanne in her home. Jeanne and her dog Spring taught me that I can play with
my boy's without using my puppy teeth, to sit and stay and to say hello
without jumping on you. Because of my breed I have a lot of energy that
needs direction so Mom has continued my training with weekly
classes. It gives me a chance to learn fun and challenging new things. Not
to mention I get to stretch my legs with all the friends I've made along my
journey. Mom says me being trained has made me a pleasure to live with. I
get to go to all kinds of fun places with my family, like soccer games and
to our local parks. I'm now a year old and very well adjusted. I want to
thank you Jeanne for having the Your Safe Dog Program. With your insight and
knowledge and Mom's dedication I truly am a Safe Dog.

Jeannie,.I cannot say enough about my experience with you and ULTIMATE DOG
and the training “Daisy” and I are receiving and practicing. Although
initially I was against using a remote collar, you urged me observe a class.
I went and watched a training session and spoke with the dog owners after
class. I was so impressed! I was impressed with the behavior of the dogs
and the attitudes of the owners regarding their training with the remote
collar. I was convinced this was the approach and results I wanted. One
week later, Daisy and I were on our way. I was amazed at what my stubborn
and willful five month old boxer was doing in only days. I still find it
amazing. She will return when called…..even to leave playing with other
dogs to do so. I am excitedly looking forward to the levels of achievement
I expect we will attain. I am excited because I’m on my way to having an
“ultimate dog” thanks to you, Jeannie, and THE ULTIMATE DOG training program.
To sum it up… IT WORKS!
IT’S EASY!
RESULTS ARE IMMEDIATE!
AND I LIKE MY DOG SO MUCH MORE!!
Thanks again. See you soon. Joan Gunvordahl and Daisy

Hi Jean,
I just wanted to tell you how much I’m amazed by your class. I never dreamed I would get
such results so fast. Trixie is definitely happier since she pretty much know what we expect
of her. I bring her to work with me now which would have been impossible 3 weeks ago. The
relationship between her and my 5 year old daughter is great now, and before we came to you
my kid was scared of her with the play biting and the jumping. Now my daughter gives her
commands and Trixie responds to her. The kid loves the dog now. I built a couple
of place boards and have been working with her every day with them. She knows when I pull them
out that it's time to focus. As soon as I put one on the ground, she gets on it and sits and
looks at me. I have her off the leash in my front yard and I don't have to worry about her
running towards one of my neighbors like she used to do. I've been walking her with the leash,
and when we get to these woods by my house, I let her off the leash and she stays close to me
the whole time. And she comes every time I call her. I never dreamed a 4 and a half month old
lab could be so controllable.
My friend who has a 1 year old border collie is showing interest in going to you. I'm trying
to talk her into it.
Anyway, thanks a lot. Thank God my vet recommended you. I had no idea about a remote collar.
